Our trip to London for the C2C Country to Country festival
We recently won the trip of a lifetime and were blessed with the opportunity to travel to London to attend the C2C Country to Country music festival! While in London we did a lot of sightseeing just wandering the streets. We witnessed the Changing of the Guards at the Buckingham Palace and we got to see Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Camden Market, the National Gallery, and Trafalgar Square. We stayed in the Strand Palace Hotel in the Covent Garden area and traveled about Central London on the Tube.
We also had the pleasure of meeting THE LUKE BRYAN!!! We love his music!
Needless to say, I was starstruck! He is truly beyond dreamy!
Here's one of my favorite pictures from our trip, with the River Thames in the background.
Thank you to Capitol Nashville and 99.9 KISS Country Radio for blessing us with this trip of a lifetime!
And now, some of the things I learned while in London...
- If you ask a local where the bathroom is, they will not understand what you are looking for... You have to ask them where the "toilet" is.
- Converting US dollars to their local currency (£ = British Pounds) is such a downer- if you give $406 you will only get £270
- When waiting for something, it's not referred to as waiting in line, but rather queing.
- Most people confuse London Bridge and Tower Bridge... One of these bridges has a name famous across the world, and the other is truly a stunning symbol of London.
- The showers are initially quite confusing and you should be cautious when stepping out of the shower so you don't fall on your arse!
